Recently, JCB electric series added a new product, the first pure electric wheel loader 403E relaunched! 403E equipped with the largest capacity of 20kWh lithium battery pack of similar products, work efficiency and diesel version of 403 exactly the same, low noise, 0 emissions, a charge can meet the use of all-day work.
To help customers around the world meet the challenge of reducing carbon emissions, JCB has been expanding its full range of purely electric equipment. 403E is powered by a 20kWh lithium battery pack consisting of proven JCB battery modules, which, together with a high-efficiency motor and optimized driving and hydraulic systems, enables first-class efficiency. A single charge can complete a day's daily work.
Like the JCB E-Tech electric series, the 403E is equipped with a built-in charger that can be charged at any time by connecting it to a common power source. 110V for 12 hours and 230V for industrial or residential use for 8 hours. You can also use the JCB fast charger, which can be fully charged in 2 hours under three-phase power.
The 403E is equipped with two independent motors, one for power transmission and one for driving the hydraulic system. 33.4kW peak power driving motor is equipped with three driving modes, and the driver can use the two buttons on the top of the joystick to switch between the three driving modes.
Standard or high lift loading booms are available, with standard boom lifting height of 2.9 meters and high lift boom lifting height of 3.0 meters. Both types of booms are equipped with hydraulic quick-change connections as standard and have a parallel lift function.
The 403E with forks has a transport weight of only 2671kg and a tipping load of 972kg, which is in line with EU trailer towing standards and is particularly suitable for landscape, municipal and rental users. Optional heavy-duty counterweight is also available to increase the tipping load by 118kg and the transport weight by 121kg.

Equipped with a 20kw peak power hydraulic pump drive motor, two operating modes are available, which can be switched via a rocker switch on the main console. The bucket mode provides dynamic and fast response, and the fork mode provides greater precision control. A programmable constant flow assist function is standard, allowing the operator to set the hydraulic flow to drive and control the implement via the display and rotary button.
The 403 is equipped with either a fixed or folding cab, with an all-glass enclosed cab available in the third quarter of 2023. A rotary control on the right side of the steering handle controls the multifunction digital display. The driver can use the rotary control in combination with the display to set auxiliary hydraulic flow, micro-motion travel speed and other settings. The display also provides access to all key equipment operating data, such as driving mode, battery charge status and driving speed.
The launch of the 403E pure electric loader further expands JCB's electric equipment lineup. The proven and mature pure electric equipment, which works with 0 emissions, is changing the way contractors, local government administrations and rental companies work. 403E can also operate in combination with a range of attachments and has lower noise and vibration levels, making it a comfortable and efficient 0 emission machine.
