XCMG Supports the Simandou Iron Ore Project with Complete Equipment Solutions

The commissioning ceremony of the Simandou Iron Ore Project was recently held at the Maré-Baya Port in Guinea. As one of the world’s most significant iron ore reserves—with large volume, high grade, and global strategic importance—Simandou features concentrated ore bodies, shallow burial depth, and easy mining conditions.

During the construction phase, XCMG has delivered more than 400 units of integrated equipment to the project, including cranes, excavators, rollers, electric mining trucks, and graders. Among them, the XGE105 electric mining truck, the earliest XCMG model deployed at Simandou, has demonstrated low energy consumption and high operational efficiency, strongly supporting the mine’s green mining efforts.
Located in a tropical region surrounded by forests and mountains, Simandou presents challenging working conditions with high temperature, high humidity, and unstable power supply. These environmental factors create significant pressure on equipment operation and maintenance.
