Proper maintenance is essential to ensure the reliable operation and long service life of truck cranes. This maintenance guide focuses on key diesel engine systems, helping operators maintain optimal performance under different working conditions.
1. Diesel Engine Fuel System
Fuel Grade Selection:
Summer: 0# diesel
Winter: -10# or -20# diesel
Extremely cold regions: -35# diesel
Using low-quality diesel fuel can cause serious damage to the fuel supply system. Always select the correct diesel grade based on ambient temperature to ensure stable engine performance.
2. Diesel Engine Mechanical Transmission System
Before starting the engine, the following checks should be carried out:
Inspect external mechanical transmission components, including belt tension and wear condition; lubricate fan brackets with grease as required.
Perform a visual inspection of the engine to identify any abnormal conditions.
3. Diesel Engine Intake and Exhaust System
Check the sealing condition of the intake pipes and intercooler pipes, including all connecting hoses. Inspect for cracks, perforations, or loose clamps. Any issues should be addressed promptly to prevent air leakage and ensure proper engine air intake.
Regularly clean and replace the air filter element. If damage is found during routine maintenance, the filter should be replaced in advance to avoid engine contamination.
Important Notes
Always use genuine air filter elements of the same model and specifications to ensure clean air intake and prevent dust or debris from entering the cylinders, which could cause premature engine wear.
Never operate the diesel engine without an air filter installed.
